Visionary Event Planner and Founder of NJ Event Collective
Niki Jorgensen, the driving force behind NJ Event Collective, has a deep-rooted passion for the events industry that began in her childhood. Growing up in sunny Southern California, Niki spent her summers in Rhode Island starting at age 12, where she helped her aunt with her catering company. By the age of 14, Niki was already immersed in the world of catering and events, igniting a lifelong passion for the industry.
Niki's journey in events spans nearly two decades, marked by her relentless dedication and pursuit of excellence. She began her formal career in Arizona, after attending Eastern Arizona College, as a sales assistant and banquet server at Andrew's Catering. Her career trajectory took a significant leap when she joined Santa Barbara Catering Company (SBC) in 2008. Starting as a banquet server, Niki's dedication and passion quickly propelled her through the ranks, culminating in her role as Director of Catering Sales & Business Development. At SBC, she played a pivotal role in driving the company’s off-premises catering services across the Valley of the Sun.
The outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 brought unprecedented challenges to the hospitality industry, prompting Niki to reevaluate her career goals. With determination and the support of her mentors, family, and friends, she seized the moment to launch NJ Event Collective. Founded in the midst of a pandemic, NJ Event Collective is a testament to Niki's resilience and unwavering commitment to the events industry.
NJ Event Collective specializes in creating memorable events tailored to each client’s unique vision. From weddings and galas to corporate functions and mitzvahs, Niki and her team are known for their meticulous attention to detail, innovative designs, and exceptional service. Niki’s approach is deeply personalized, ensuring each event is a true reflection of her client's dreams.
Niki’s influence extends beyond her own business. She has been an active member of the Phoenix National Association of Catering & Events (NACE) Board of Directors for eight years, serving on the International Caterers Association (ICA) Board for 3 years and she has also serves as. the Phoenix Chapter President of Wedding Industry Professionals Association (WIPA) for 2 years. Her contributions to the events community include mentoring students, increasing meeting attendance, and leading numerous committees.
A tireless networker and mentor, Niki is passionate about connecting her clients with the best vendors and talents in the market. Her easy-going working style, combined with her expertise, enthusiasm, and experience, has made her a favorite among clients and vendors alike. She takes pride in her work and strives for 100% customer satisfaction, ensuring that every event she designs is memorable and flawlessly executed.
In addition to her professional achievements, Niki is supported by her husband Jacob, her high school sweetheart and the “J” behind NJ Event Collective. Jacob’s handy work often complements Niki’s event installations, reflecting their collaborative spirit and shared commitment to excellence.
